BOOKING YOUR CEREMONY WITH US
~ Please take the time to complete Three Important Tasks this week as outlined below ~
PLEASE NOTE
We have placed a tentative hold on your wedding date for the next 7 days (from receipt of booking email), the 3 tasks below are required to be completed within this time frame to confirm the ceremony date with us. If the 7 days lapse without completing all 3 tasks, you may risk the date not being available to you.
If you require any assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Task 1
COMPLETE OUR BOOKING FORM
NOTES:
Please complete the online booking form below. The form should take you no more than 10 minutes to complete.
Note that there are some questions asked in this booking form that are a legal requirement as part of your NOIM Form and legal Marriage Certificates. Please take the time to find this information now so that we can get the ball rolling with completing the legal paperwork.
Once you have completed the Booking Form and finalised the remaining tasks in this Booking process, we will send you the completed legal documents (in draft format for perusal and approval)
Task 2
UPLOAD SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS
As part of completing the pre ceremony legal documentation, we are required to sight some identification from both you and your fiancé. Please take the time to upload the relevant documents as outlined below.
NOTE: As a legal requirement, we will also need to sight these ID documents in person prior to your wedding ceremony as well but for now it is sufficient for these documents to be uploaded and sighted this way.
Identification: You (and your partner) will need to provide scans or photos of two forms of identification. We have listed what we require below in order of preference:
Birth Certificate
Passport (either Australian or Overseas)
Drivers Licence
Proof of Age Card
Stat Dec - this is not ideal, however if you aren’t able to supply any of the above, we can organise a legal Stat Dec for you to sign stating that you do not have the relevant identification but you are being truthful and honest about your proof of identification. If you require a Stat Dec we have one pre-written (minus your personal details) that we can send to you.
Divorce Evidence: If you (and/or your fiancé) have previously been married, you will also need to provide evidence of death, divorce or nullity of the marriage. Please provide a scan or photo of this evidence if it is applicable to you and/or your fiancé.
Adoption Evidence: In some cases you (and/or your fiancé) may need to provide adoption evidence. Please provide a scan or photo of this evidence if it is applicable to you and/or your fiancé.
A Nice Photo: Further to the above documents, we would appreciate it if you could also upload 1 or a couple of nice photos of the two of you together. We would like to use these photos on our social media platforms in the lead up to and on the day of your wedding if that is ok.
Please use the button below to upload the relevant documentation needed (scans or photos are sufficient providing it is legible)
Note, you don’t need to get the documents witnessed by a JP.
Task 3
READING TASK
Under the Marriage Act 1961 it is a requirement that the Celebrant provide the couple with a hard copy or digital copy of a pamphlet called “Happily Ever….. Before and After” which provides information for couples planning to marry. This is an important pamphlet to peruse prior to your wedding ceremony. Below is a button that will direct you to a page where you can peruse a digital copy of this pamphlet.
Please find some time over the coming 7 days to complete this task.
**If you would like a hard copy please let us know. We would be happy to provide this for you at no cost.
The pamphlet mentions information about Pre-Marriage Education and the benefit it is in preparing for and investing in your long term commitment to each other in the form of Marriage. We offer this service to any couple who wish to participate, our Celebrants are accredited with an organisation called Prepare Enrich who have been offering Pre-Marriage Education to couples and families worldwide for over 40 years.
If you would like to explore this course more, please let us know during the booking process.
